Dolan Adhikary

Dolan is 9 years old and attends year 3 at the Airport school in Kolkata, India. Her teachers say that she is friendly and enjoys skipping rope, drawing, and music. Dolan’s favorite subject is English.

Dolan lives with her mother, father, and brother in a brick house with a tin roof. Her father is a daily labourer and her mother is a home maker. Although they work hard to support Dolan, it is very difficult to support the family and her education on the fathers sole income of odd job daily wage labour.
